Peer review process
The peer review of manuscripts submitted to this journal is a vital step in selecting works that meet the standards of quality and impact expected by the scientific and professional communities the journal serves.
This process is conducted through a double-blind peer review system, where external reviewers—recognized experts in their fields—are selected. These reviewers are independent from one another and unaware of the authors’ identities.
Their primary role is to assist the Editorial Committee by assessing the manuscript’s originality, academic quality, relevance to the journal’s scope, and compliance with the formal requirements for publication. Reviewers are expected to provide a thorough, critical, and constructive analysis of both the content and structure of the article.
The journal maintains an international and continually growing list of reviewers, composed of PhDs and reputable researchers, with preference given to authors who have previously published in journals indexed in Web of Science and Scopus.
All manuscripts under review are considered confidential documents. Reviewers must not share, reproduce, or use any part of the manuscript for personal gain or that of others. If consultation with another expert is deemed necessary, the authors will be informed in advance.
Review Phases and Timelines
-
Upon submission, the journal will send a confirmation email to the author, including a unique reference number.
-
The Editor-in-Chief or the assigned Editor will conduct an initial assessment of the submission.
-
Within 72 hours, the author will receive an email if the manuscript is rejected at this stage. Rejections may occur if the submission is outside the journal’s scope, incomplete, lacks sufficient findings, or contains plagiarized content.
-
Submissions that pass this stage proceed to double-blind peer review. An initial editorial decision will be communicated within approximately 30 to 45 days.
-
If revisions are required, all comments from reviewers and the editor will be shared with the author, along with the original version of the manuscript. The revised version and a response letter must be submitted within 15 days. The final decision will be made by the journal’s editor based on the reviewers' recommendations.
-
Upon acceptance, the article will be published online within approximately 15 days. All accepted articles will be assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) and become immediately citable. The editorial team will ensure that the publication is registered and submitted to relevant indexing databases.
Review Interaction and Timeline
All communications between reviewers and the editorial team are handled through the journal’s online portal, allowing for a full digital record of each stage of the process (traceability).
Reviewers who receive an invitation via email have a maximum of 7 days to accept or decline the review request. The invitation includes the manuscript title, abstract, and proposed review schedule. Only upon acceptance will reviewers gain access to the full text and the corresponding review form.
Reviewers must submit their reports and recommendations within 28 days (4 weeks) of accepting the invitation. They may also attach an additional document with detailed comments if needed. The reviewer’s final recommendation must align with the observations stated in the qualitative assessment and/or any numerical scores provided.
