Plagiarism Prevention and Detection

The journal assures that all published scientific articles are original, unpublished and have not been previously disseminated in any other medium or format, either partially or totally. It also guarantees that these manuscripts are not in the process of evaluation by other journals or any other type of publication.

To verify compliance with this policy, Sage Sphere in Artificial Intelligence (SSAI) uses specialized similarity detection tools such as iThenticate (Crossref), Turnitin and Plag.es. In addition, and when deemed necessary, other systems such as DupliChecker, Plagium, Copyscape, among others, can be used.

The anti-plagiarism review is performed before starting the peer review process. In cases where the similarity report exceeds 20%, authors will be notified by e-mail, receiving the detailed similarity report together with a technical evaluation prepared by the editorial team or by an expert in the field. Based on this information, clarifying comments will be requested from the authors. If after the analysis it is determined that there is evidence of plagiarism, the manuscript will be immediately rejected for evaluation.
