This paper explores the interplay between the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) and emerging ethical challenges in modern society. As AI becomes integrated into everyday life, critical ethical dilemmas arise in areas such as privacy, fairness, autonomy, and transparency. These challenges require urgent attention, as the implementation of AI without an ethical approach could exacerbate inequalities, compromise human decision-making, and affect individual and collective privacy. However, despite these risks, AI has great potential to improve efficiency and quality of life in key sectors, such as medicine, education and transport, offering significant opportunities for innovation and development. This study aims to analyze the ethical challenges associated with AI and identify regulatory frameworks that guide its responsible implementation. To this end, an exhaustive review of the current literature is carried out, highlighting the perspectives of different authors on privacy, justice and equity in the development of algorithms, and underlining the shared responsibility of developers, legislators and society as a whole to ensure an ethical use of technology. Finally, strategies are explored to maximize the benefits of AI while mitigating its risks, contributing to a comprehensive understanding of how AI can be a tool for social well-being without compromising people's fundamental rights.
