This article analyzes the work plans of the elected representatives of the Pastaza Provincial Assembly for the 2025 term, in order to identify the main proposals presented during their campaigns and the factors that influenced the electorate's decision. This research adopts a quantitative approach, using structured surveys of citizens from the four cantons of the province to determine the determining criteria for their vote. The results allow us to establish common trends in the elected candidates' proposals, highlighting themes such as sustainable development, the preservation of the Amazon, the participation of Indigenous peoples, and local economic recovery. Furthermore, the data show that factors such as prior recognition of the candidate, direct contact on the ground, strategic use of social media, and membership in community organizations significantly influenced citizens' decisions. Similarly, there are evident differences between urban and rural areas in terms of political priorities and information channels. The analysis sheds light not only on the similarities and differences between campaign promises, but also on the influence of certain social, cultural, and media factors on voting behavior. This study contributes to strengthening democratic participation in Amazonian contexts and offers elements for future research on political representation and citizen decision-making in regions with high sociocultural diversity.
